Hi All!
Above is a picture of our friend, Matt Call. He’s a super cool guy - bassist, awesome barista at Urban Bean, and great friend to many.
You’ve seen me post about this before, but he was the victim of a hit and run on Wednesday, June 27th, 2012. He is currently in the ICU after suffering extensive injuries including two broken femurs, a cracked pelvis, and spinal fractures, which will require months of recovery.
A lot of people has been asking how they can help, as it’s going to be at least 3 months before he can even walk again. A benefit is currently being planned and will be announced shortly, but we’d like to provide Matt with support immediately so he can focus on his recovery instead of worrying about finances. If you’re able to donate, please click through via Matt’s photo above.
In addition, I am looking for silent auction items. If you or anyone you know has something you’d like to donate, please private message me.
Below is a picture of the suspect - please keep an eye out:

PLEASE REBLOG.

This is one of those moments where even donating $5 helps a tremendous amount. Let’s turn what would be a nightmare for *anyone* into a miracle.

It’s great to see the community rallying around a good guy who’s in a tough spot. But since this happens pretty regularly in Mpls, I wouldn’t mind seeing a tiny portion of that energy going toward encouraging companies to provide insurance for their employees (or encouraging driers to watch where they’re going).

I witnessed another Wooster / Pesko street style moment at Pitti. Shit creeps me out.

Ahhh, spontaneity.

INCREDIBLY SMALL Trailer by Dean Peterson

Two recent college graduates, Anne, an ambitious law student and Amir, an aimless escalator attendant and aspiring sculptor move into a 300 square foot apartment and try to start a life together. But the combination of their small apartment, their threateningly handsome neighbor across the hall and unexpected visitors from the past make them realize that maybe they aren’t as perfect for each other as they previously had thought.

Susan Burke and Minneapolis’ own Stephen Gurewitz star in this comedy about a young couple who move into a shabby 300 square foot apartment looking to start a life together. But things don’t exactly go as planned. A series of mishaps and unexpected visitors make them realize that maybe they aren’t as perfect for each other as they previously had thought. The film was shot in Minneapolis over 14 days and also features MSPIFF native Alex Karpovsky the ‘Mumblecore’ filmmaker who presented his debut feature, The Hole Story, at MSPIFF in 2005

See the movie Incredibly Small at the 2011 Minneapolis - St. Paul International Film Festival on April 16th at 9pm! And this is your chance to meet the director, and fellow tumblr Dean Peterson!
